Black Friyay

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving full of food and family time. It is my absolute favorite holiday. I'm always down to lounge around with a slight wine buzz, stuff my face with delicious dishes, and laugh away the stomach pains with fun games. Black Friday, however; is a day I always dreaded. Working in retail year after year, I always had to cut my fun short or even worse miss the experience all together once the mall started to open at 5pm on actual Thanksgiving day. It's an atrocity honestly, and I always vow to never participate in the meaningless, american greed tradition. Until it's scaled back to a more reasonable occurrence of regular business hours, I'll stick to shopping on the other 364 days out of the year.

On a lighter note, I'd like to discuss my current favorite look of the season. I'm obsessing over this long, lightweight duster. Whether dressy or casual, it's great to throw over any simple outfit to amp up the style. It makes for an updated look offering a chic alternative to the classic blazer or cozy cardigan. Here I paired it with a sexy, silky, lace trim cami, sleek skinny jeans and my recent go-to over the knee boots.

If you're at all like me then you have dealt with the difficult task of finding a good pair of jeans. I've got some thick thighs, naturally muscular legs and a booty that's a little fuller in the bottom, so finding denim that fit over the legs and didn't create a muffin top was a true task. The struggle is real people. After years with my trusty everyday leggings, I finally found them. The Leigh skinnies from Top Shop were the perfect fit. They're high-waisted and super slim with just enough stretch that doesn't give out, they are now on heavy rotation.

Finish off your look with some affordable finds like this simple cami from Forever 21 and lace up choker from Francesca's. I always say invest in timeless, classic pieces but save on the trendy ones at places like these fashionably, frugal shops. Shop and save below
